Iran defeat S. Korea in FIBA U18 Asian Championship

TEHRAN – Iran beat South Korea in the 2018 FIBA U18 Asian Championship on Friday.

In a classification game for places 5-8, the Iranian team, who failed to book a ticket for the 2019 FIBA Under 19 Basketball World Cup after losing to New Zealand on Thursday, beat the Korean team 89-81.

Iran will face japan on Saturday for fifth place.

The 2018 FIBA Under 18 Asian Championship is being held in Nonthaburi, Thailand from August 5 to 11.

Top four teams Australia, the Philippines, China and New Zealand will represent FIBA Asia in the 2019 FIBA Under 19 Basketball World Cup.
